Not all slow cookers are round or oval in shape. Case in point: The 3.5-Quart Crockpot Casserole Slow Cooker. The stoneware insert is a 9 x 13 inch, a rectangular baking dish that is the perfect size and shape to prepare and serve casseroles, lasagna, and other excellent dishes.

The Crockpot Casserole Slow Cooker has a secure-fit locking lid, which makes it portable. Serving straight from this slow cooker is so convenient.

It’s charming because the removable stoneware is white and very attractive. I can place the entire appliance on the meal table to keep its contents warm, or simply lift the inner removable stoneware from the slow cooker and place it on the table.

Two Options

The casserole slow cooker is available in two models.

The manual model has settings of Low, High, and Keep Warm. The programmable version with digital controls offers cook temps of Low, High, Keep Warm, as well as times ranging from 30 minutes to 20 hours.

Honest Review

For my needs and lifestyle, the manual version is perfect. When necessary, I can plug it into an ordinary appliance timer to set the end time.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this cooker actually cooks! The heat is very even with no detectable hot or cold spots.

The stoneware insert (baking dish) is oven-safe and I have used it that way numerous times when I want to bake rather than slow cook. Both the stoneware and lid are dishwasher safe and clean up beautifully.

Since I purchased my manual version in 2016 (before a programmable version was available), I’ve been using it regularly to make desserts, casseroles, and lasagna and I could not be happier. While this doesn’t replace my traditional 7-quart slow cooker, it is my go-to option for recipes that are more casserole-like.

I love this Crockpot Casserole Slow Cooker and could not recommend it any more highly. It is a tremendous helper to keep home-cooked meals on the table despite my busy life.

If I were making the purchase today, I would definitely opt for the programmable version, especially given the cost.
