Find out how simple it is to Make Your Own Mayonnaise with this Homemade Mayonnaise Recipe!

I love when I can find an simple DIY replacement for something we use everyday, or even for things that we rarely use (so I hate to purchase a large container of). Whether you are a mayo on your sandwich kind of person, or only use it when cooking, you will find this DIY Mayo recipe an simple one to throw together.

What You Need: >> 1 egg >> 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard >> 1 1/3 cups vegetable oil >> 4 teaspoons white vinegar or lemon juice

What You Do:

Using a food processor, combine the egg and mustard in the bowl of a food processor. Using the blade attachment, run the food processor until the entire mixture is well combined.

Keep your food processor running and start slowly adding in your oil in a thin stream. Keep processing until the oil is now well combined into your mixture.

Finally you can add in your vinegar or lemon juice and using the pulse setting, run processor until the mixture is smooth.

You can then season to taste with the salt and pepper.

If you don’t have a food processor, you can also follow the instructions above but using a whisk. Just make sure you are able to keep whisking while adding in new ingredients so they are properly combined.

You will want to store any leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Because the shelf life is fairly short, you only want to make what you can use.

This recipe will make about 1 1/2 cups of mayonnaise. If you are needing it for a recipe and you need more, just double the recipe.
