If you are like me, cleaning your ceiling fan is something I put off as long as possible because there just never seems to be an simple way to do it.  Here is a way to use something everyone already has in their home to clean your ceiling fan more quickly and a lot more easily. Love this tip!

1) Slide a pillowcase over one of the ceiling fan blades. If you think the dirt/dust is a little thicker than normal, you can choose to spray cleaner on the blade. If you do it frequently enough of the dust is fairly light, you shouldn’t need any.

2) Slowly pull off the pillow case, applying a little pressure so that all of the dust comes off with it and then stays inside the pillow case.

3) Repeat with each blade.

4) Then just wash your pillowcase.

What’s excellent about this is that you can take the pillowcase outside and shake most of the dust out of it before throwing it in the washing machine.

This has been such a time saver for me and I love how simple it is. I do it more frequently and I don’t end up with those times where I see the dust bunnies peaking over the edge of the blade at me anymore.
