Listeria concerns have led to the recall of 30,000 cases of fresh-cut vegetables that are sold at some of the nation’s leading grocery stores, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The pre-cut vegetables were distributed to retailers in about 10 states under the Country Fresh and store brand labels. The affected stores include Walmart, Harris Teeter, Publix, QuikTrip, Winn Dixie and BI-LO.

A product contaminated with listeria was found by the Georgia Department of Agriculture during a routine sample test, according to Texas-based Country Fresh. The recall was announced August 26. No illnesses have been confirmed. 

The various products, which are listed below, had “best if used by” dates from August 7 to August 19. 

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. An infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
