After I got tired of digging through the sofa cushions to look for my misplaced remote, I discovered a YouTube video that explained how to use Velcro from a craft store to attach a remote to a coffee table.
I skipped the craft store and decided to purchase a $3 pack of Command strips from Walmart to take on this project.
If you’re not familiar with Command strips, the adhesive product is frequently used to hang pictures without having to put holes in the wall, but the strips also solved my remote control problem.
First, I turned my coffee table upside down and attached one of the large strips to it.
Next, I put another strip on the remote control, making sure that it didn’t block the part of the remote that I would need to slide open to change the batteries.
Now, after watching TV, I place the remote back in its new holding space, which is hidden under the table. I don’t have an Apple TV, but this trick could help you keep track of that remote as well.
