Where To Park For SXSW 2022

A great place to park is in East Austin on the side streets east of I35 and walk the few blocks or take public transportation.  Alternatively, park on or near South Congress as well.  Avoid driving all through downtown during SXSW.

Are there free events at SXSW?

There are many free SXSW events, parties, swag, and more for which you don’t need a badge.

What to Bring to SXSW

Carry a comfortable backpack with you. You’ll need a way to carry water, business cards, and electronics, and haul all of your awesome free SXSW swag.

Bring an extra cell phone battery or charger.  Yes, there are charging stations, but they are pretty crowded. Check out the discounted portable cell phone battery chargers here.

Be organized. I created an email folder to save all of my Eventbrite tickets and other important information. I also use my Google calendar to keep track of everything I signed up for.

For most of the free events, you’ll need an RSVP.  These often sell out quickly.  Go ahead and RSVP for everything.
