This school has graduated more billionaires than any other

It may or may not be surprising, but the most billionaires don’t attend better-known Harvard, Yale or Princeton. However, they did graduate from another Ivy League school: The University of Pennsylvania.

According to Forbes, the school educated 21 of the 406 people on last year’s Forbes 400 list of billionaires.

Some notable graduates include none other than presidential hopeful Donald Trump, who attended the Wharton School graduated with an economics degree in 1968. Additionally, his son Donald Trump Jr., and daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, also attended the University of Pennsylvania.

Other notable graduates of the school include CEO of both Tesla Motors and SpaceX Elon Musk and Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of late Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

Other schools who have graduated billionaires

More Ivy League schools follow the University of Pennsylvania. Harvard and Yale tied for second place with 14 of their graduates making the billionaire list, while Stanford, fourth in line, boasts 13.

Airbnb co-founder Nathan Blecharczyk graduated from Harvard with a degree in computer science. At 32, he is also one of the nation’s youngest billionaires.

Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer also graduated from Harvard, as did David Rockefeller, grandson of John D. Rockefeller. Mark Zuckerberg, famed Facebook founder and Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, both attended Harvard but dropped out, while FedEx founder Fred Smith and John and Forrest Mars of Mars candy company graduated from Yale.

It should be no surprise that numerous Stanford University graduates made their fortunes in the tech arena, since Silicon Valley is just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Take for example Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel, America’s youngest billionaire who attended Stanford and Brian Acton, co-founder of WhatsApp.

Other schools include the University of Southern California, Cornell University and Princeton.
