Making a Valentine’s Day Cookie Bar is super simple and so much fun! All you have to do is bake some of your favorite sugar cookies, color some vanilla icing, and gather up some of your favorite red, white, and pink candy! This is perfect for your family to do on Valentine’s Day, School Parties, or a Valentine’s Day Party with Friends!
Here’s what you need! Sugar Cookies
Colored Icing (Pink, Red, White)
Candy (Red Hots, M&M’s, Sprinkles)
For this cookie bar, you can use any type of Sugar Cookie you want. You can grab some at the store or make your your own! You can have round simple cookies, or you could use some Valentine’s Day Cookie Cutters for fun shapes to decorate!
I decided to use White Icing as a base to simply ice the cookies. I left the white icing in a bowl so that we could spread this on our cookies easily.
I put the Colored Icing in squeeze bottles so that it was easier for kids to handle and decorate. It was so simple to squeeze out and not get too much at a time. If your icing is too thick, try microwaving it for a few seconds so that it thins out a little. This is a excellent way for your kids to take part in decorating their own cookies with out making too much of a mess!
We used several Different Kinds of Candy for our cookies. I am a huge fan of Red Hots, so of course we used some of these to decorate our cookies. We also used Red and White M&M’s and Pink and Red Sprinkles! I found some really cool white candies that looked like Eyes that we also used! Super fun for making Valentine’s Day Monster Cookies!
Throw in some Cute Napkins and a couple of Valentine’s Day Party Bowls and and your Valentines Day Cookie Bar is complete! This was so much fun for my entire family! Be sure you try this out with your family before or on Valentine’s Day!
Your kids will love being able to create their own cookies to eat! Have some friends over and have a blast!
Keep in mind that you can also create a Cookie Bar for numerous other occasions other than Valentine’s Day! This would be fun for a Birthday Party, Easter, or Christmas! All you have to do is change the color of your frosting and candy! Super simple and so much fun!
