Don’t miss out on unclaimed missing money!💰

According to the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators, states return over $4 billion in unclaimed money every year from companies that cannot locate the owners.

About 1 in every 7 Americans has “unclaimed money,” and some of it could be yours! Unclaimed money could include funds from past employers, utility companies, stocks, mutual funds, safe deposit box contents, uncashed checks, insurance policies, and more.

Follow these steps to search for unclaimed money:

  • Visit Unclaimed.org and scroll down to select your state. Or visit the Unclaimed Money directory on USA.gov.
  • Follow the instructions to search for unclaimed funds from your state.
  • If you find a match, complete a claim form. Most states and provinces require a specific form to be completed.
  • Follow the instructions to complete the specified form. You may need to supply additional documentation for verification.
  • The claim form and ID are then mailed to the state for review. The state will respond to you directly after it reviews your submission and verifies that you are the rightful owner.
  • Most states send an acknowledgment letter after receiving your claim. Claims processing timelines vary based on claim activity in your state.

HIP TIP: Unclaimed property is reported to the state in which the company or organization resides. It’s not uncommon to have unclaimed money in multiple states, especially if you have moved around to different locations!

Hip Sidekick, Lina, just tried this service two weeks ago and already received her check!

My check came from the unclaimed money claim I put in 8 weeks ago! $105. These are from my old address before marriage 20 years ago. In college, I opened a discover card 😂 LOL other than that, no clue what the other accounts are. Super interesting!

I checked this link last year when you posted and was able to find …. $50,000! My grandmother had it left in her bank account when she passed away 5 years ago. The site only said “ more than $250” 😆. It was quite a surprise, and her 4 children were very happy as it was missing in her estate! It did take almost a year to get it all settled, but thanks so much for posting this.- Hip reader, Ben

I check this every time you post this and find money for friends and family. I then tell them where and how to apply for the funds. I’ve found almost $10,000 in total!!!! For me, $0.00! I did this once at my family reunion’s banquet. I had people pull out their cell phones and look it up immediately. We had almost 25% of the room with missing, now found money.

Keep checking back. I do it every few months because the information changes regularly. - Hip reader, Sonya

I had 2 unclaimed payments totalling $68 that I received payment for after I checked the site last year. That’s not a ton of money, but every extra $ lets you! - Hip Sidekick, Misty

Put that check towards these travel deals! 🌴✈➡️
